Spoons carved from natural wind-felled branches. Each one is a shape that was drawn in response to the unique zigs and grain features of the branches. Knots, spalting, and other figuring is part of the character of these one-of-a-kind spoons. Hand cut, milled, carved, and dried wood from the trees at this little valley house.

These spoons were carved green. This means they have not been stabilized by the consistent heat of a kiln. Although they have been slow-dried in a woodshop, checking or splitting is a possibility. It’s recommended to slowly introduce your spoon to gradual heat and liquid. Working wood benefits from a monthly treatment of a food-safe and natural finish like VH Spoon Butter.
